Tata Motors Path Breaking Move

1. Tata Motors in a path breaking move is now embarking on another project to come out with electric and hybrid vehicles in both passenger, including its flagship Indica, and commercial segments.

2. Hats off to engineers of tata motors who are working on blended fuel, partial and complete hybrids, electric vehicles and hydrogen-powered vehicles, some of which could be commercially produced as early as 2011.

3. It is noteworthy that the company is working on a petrol-electric hybrid vehicle capable of delivering about 20 km per litre complying with BS III and IV emission norms that could be applicable to Indica and its variants and also a possible adaptation of the concept to other platforms in future.
